UNESCO BMW proposes different educational and ecologically friendly seminars. How we treat our ambient and how we relate to it is the main focus of our interactive Seminars.
Youth and Sustainable Development
In Iran, we met curious and enthusiastic students beyond imagination. The youth is driven to follow sustainable development goals(SDGs) in their country. They have done many projects related to iEARN that are integrated with SDGs, including “Girls’ rising education”, “One right one people”, “Decarbonized”, “Virtual Peace”… They are doing their best to make the world a global and peaceful home for all.
Multimedia and Light Competition
Multimedia and light are always good reasons to stimulate our creativity and what better excuse than Tesla. We had several interesting proposals from youth all around the world of all ages (11-24 years old). Ideas such as having light gained by a soccer ball; the kinetic action of a ball creates energy transformed into light to be used at nighttime. Or, a mobile library tent with books for all of those that want to learn more. A peaceful fight against illiteracy.
Conferences and Workshops
UNESCO BMW proposes seminars on Green Architecture. Alternative energy concepts and ecofriendly materials can make a building more in sync with its environment. These include, also wind towers, Quanat’s system, passive technology, etc.
Renewable energy and sustainability
Renewable energy is an essential part of a more sustainable development of our world. Renewable energies are energies collected from renewable resources, which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat. In this conference we discuss the efficiency and workings of certain renewable energies.
Energy and Eco-Sustainability
This conference explains the need in today’s world for a change on different fronts: economic, social, and environmental. We need to change our lifestyles to leave the earth better place to live or at least as good as when we came on it for future generations. In this conference we’ll discuss different solutions for a more eco-sustainable living, in which carbon foot print plays a significant role.
Hydroponics is the process of growing plants in sand, gravel, or liquid, with added nutrients, but without soil. We offer workshops by our partner Thomas Wollenberger CEO of Aeroasis to schools and other organizations that search for a different ecology friendly training on agriculture. This is a great scientific experiment for all ages.
UNESCO BMW offers a presentation about energy sources on our planet and goes deeper into subtle energies that affect our beings. This program includes a workshop session as an experiment.
